Nancy O'Dell's professional career started in Myrtle Beach South Carolina as a news reporter and anchor with WPDE-TV. She later became a morning news anchor as well as a crime reporter at WCBD TV. O'Dell's reports in Charleston regarding the police's tolerance when it comes to DUI cases led to a State Law Enforcement Division to examine. This led to state authorities issuing more strict guidelines in these cases. Ms. O'Dell received an award for the Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. After her time in Charleston, O'Dell worked as a co-anchor for the NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV and also as an investigative reporter. After that, she joined Access Hollywood to work as a weekday and weekend correspondent. O'Dell anchors the main newscast for Access Hollywood. In addition she has contributed for NBC News Today and Dateline NBC. She has covered major events like The Oscars, The Emmys, The Grammys, and The Golden Globe Awards. Alongside co-hosting the Pre-ShowArrivals for The Emmys & The Golden Globes. Other co-hosting credits include Miss USA, the Miss USA pageant, and Miss Universe.
